It has been nine months since i’ve eaten adobong pusit and it was prepared by my husband when we stayed in dubai for a vacation. Adobong pusit is a very tasty dish and it is one of my husband’s favorite dishes. This time, i craved for a sweet and spicy squid dish.
I will share with you this recipe for you to try and please let me know what you think.
1 tbsp cooking oil
3 cloves garlic ,crushed
1 small onion , diced
1 small tomato ,diced
1 bay leaf
500 gms. medium sized squid
1/2 tsp lee kum kee chili garlic sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tbsp sweet soy sauce /kecap manis -optional
1/8 tsp ground pepper
Heat oil in the pan.
Saute 500 gms. medium sized squid in garlic ,onion and tomato.
Make sure that you don’t cook the squid longer than the indicated time to preserve the tender texture.
Pour in the vinegar / kecap manis (or ordinary soy sauce)
Season with pepper ,bay leaf, chili garlic sauce.
Bring to boil and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
Serve with hot rice.. Share and enjoy!
